BIBLICAL QUALITIES TO PRAY FOR YOUR CHILDREN.For Afrikaans version

- Salvation: Lord, help my children to
truly turn to You, to find salvation and eternal glory. (Is 45:8, 2Tim 2:10)
- Increase in grace: I pray that my children will grow
spiritually, will increase in grace and the knowledge of God and Christ
Jesus. (1Pet 3:18)
- Love: Lord, teach my children to live
in Godly love through the Holy Spirit who lives in them (Gal 5:25, Eph 5:2)
- Honesty and Integrity: May they always portray these
characteristics. (Ps 25:21)
- Self-control: Lord, help my children
to always exercise self-control under the guidance of the Holy Spirit. (1Thes
5:6)
- Love for the Word of God: May my children grow up to
have a love for your Word. May they find it 'sweeter than honey'. (Ps 19:11)
- Righteousness: Help my children
to love righteousness and to behave correctly in everything that they do.
(Ps 11:7, Micah 6:8)
- Grace: May my children always show grace towards others
and may they love grace the way you do. (Luke 6:36)
- Respect for themselves, their
parents and others: Father please help my children to have the necessary
respect for all authorities in their lives. (1Pet 2:17)
- Biblical self-respect: Help my children to develop self-respect,
to realise that they were created by God Almighty and that they are precious
in Jesus Christ. (Eph 2:10)
- Faithfulness: Let love and faithfulness
never leave my children. Please equip them with these two values. (Prov
3:5)
- Courage: May my children always be courageous, steadfast
and brave in everything they do.

- Purity: Create in my children
pure hearts, oh Lord. (Ps 51:11)
- Friendliness: Let my children always be friendly and
kind-hearted towards others. (1Thes 5:15)
- Generosity: Grant my children
to be generous, willing to share with others. Help them to collect treasures
in heaven and not here on earth. (1Tim 6:18,19)
- Peace-loving: Father, let my children always be peacemakers.
(Rom 14:19)
- Joyful: May my children always
be full of the joy of the Lord. (1Thes 1:6)
- Perseverance: Father, teach my children to persevere
in everything they do, and help them to have a lifestyle of perseverance.

- Humility: O God, please teach
my children to be truly humble and to show humility toward all people. (Tit
3:2)
- Gentleness: Equip my children with the attitude of being
gentle. (Col 3:12)
- Responsibility: Lord, please teach
my children to be responsible so each can carry their own weight. (Gal 6:5)
- Satisfaction: Father, teach my children the secret of
being satisfied and being able to accept every situation through the power
given to them by Christ. (Phil 4:22)
- Faith: I pray that faith will
grow in their hearts to enable then to receive what has been promised to
them (Luke 17:5,6; Heb 11:1-40)
- A serving heart: Father, help my children to have serving
hearts, prepared to serve wholeheartedly, as if unto You. (Eph 6:7)
- Hope: May the God of hope bless
my children with abundant hope, through the working of the Holy Spirit.

- Willingness and ability to work: Teach my children the
value of work, Lord. Teach them to appreciate the work they have and to
do it as if for You. (Col 3:23)
- Passion for God: O God, place
in their hearts an enthusiasm and fire for You so that they will always
hold unto You. (Ps 63:8)
- Self-discipline: O Father, teach my children to be disciplined
to always do good and live fairly.

- Praying hearts: Teach my children
to be truly praying people. Teach them to pray through your Spirit at all
times. (Eph 5:20; Col 2:7)
- Boldness: Teach my children boldness to stand for who
they are in You and to lead others in the direction You need them to go.
